(June 16, 2026 – LEXINGTON, KY) – The 4th annual Woodford Legends Invitational powered by Suran Systems is coming in hot this year with new dates and an even deeper field of LPGA Legends that’s sure to bring the temperature way up at The Woodford Club in Versailles, Ky. The 2026 event will feature 16 two-person Legends teams competing in a 36-hole scramble on Saturday and Sunday, August 8-9.
Six LPGA & World Golf Hall of Fame members are slated to appear, including 72-time LPGA Tour champion and 10-time major winner Annika Sörenstam who will team up with her sister, Charlotta Sörenstam. Legends in the field have combined for 287 LPGA Tour wins and 42 major championship titles.
As Annika makes her event debut, five more LPGA & World Golf Hall of Fame members look forward to coming back to Versailles: Pat Bradley, Laura Davies, Juli Inkster, Hollis Stacy and Jan Stephenson. Defending champions Catriona Matthew and Becky Morgan – winners of the event in 2024 and 2025 – will return to attempt a three-peat.
“Catriona and I have thoroughly enjoyed playing the last two years and are very much looking forward to coming back to defend our title,” says Morgan, winner of the 2025 U.S. Senior Women’s Open. “We love the community feel of the event, and it will be great to see everyone again!”
“The LPGA Legends are delighted to return to The Woodford Club in August,” adds 27-time LPGA Tour champion and Legends of the LPGA founding member Jane Blalock of Cambridge, Mass., who is also scheduled to compete with teammate Patricia Meunier-Lebouc of France.

The Woodford Legends Invitational supports Official Charity Partner KVC Kentucky. For over 25 years this organization has served over 22,000 children and families across more than 81 counties in the commonwealth. With nearly 300 practitioners, KVC focuses on strengthening families, preventing child abuse and neglect, and supporting children and adults on their journey to mental health wellness.

A new addition to tournament week this year is Women’s Golf Day, an all-women golf scramble with female amateurs and LPGA Legends teaming up to play 18 holes at The Woodford Club golf course on Thursday, August 6. Other event highlights include a Youth Golf Day from 5-7 p.m. and Legends Fest featuring singer/songwriter Paul Childers of Nashville at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 5 as well as the Woodford Legends Invitational Official Pro-Am at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 7. Saturday’s opening round is Family Day; Sunday’s final round is First Responders Day. Tee times start at 10:00 a.m. and will include 8-12 top Kentucky area women amateurs forming teams and competing in a separate division alongside the LPGA Legends.
