(SANDWICH, MASS. – September 3, 2025) – It’s that time again, and you won’t want to miss these tee times.
Jane Blalock is set to welcome back 23 of her fellow Legends of the LPGA to The Ridge Club in Sandwich, Mass. this Friday, September 5th for the 8th annual BJ’s Charity Championship presented by Kimberly-Clark.
Designed by renowned American golf course architect Robert Von Hagge and opened in 1989, Blalock’s home course, The Ridge Club, is known for its fescue-covered mounds, elevation changes and signature 17th hole island green.
Around this time every year, “The Ridge” is also known for hosting an 18-hole professional team event featuring some of the most decorated women in all of golf. The line-up slated to tee it up includes five World Golf Hall of Fame members, 11 major championship titleholders and seven U.S. Women’s Open champions — just a few of the notables in a never-ending highlight reel of the LPGA Tour’s historical best.
Dame Laura Davies, owner of 87 professional wins world wide, tees off in the BJ’s Charity Championship.
“It is truly a legendary field,” says Blalock, who is perhaps best known for her record 299 consecutive cuts made while competing on the LPGA Tour. “We have major tournament winners, current and former Solheim Cup Captains, and players with charisma and personality who have always loved interacting with fans.”
Tee times start at 9:30 a.m. Admission is free, and the event is well worth the road trip if you’re in the area. Those from afar can follow scores on-line at LegendsoftheLPGA.com.
Together, the field has combined for over 240 wins on the LPGA Tour. Blalock owns 27 of the victories in that count, but her most recent trip to the winner’s circle was, in fact, at The Ridge Club two years ago in this very event as she and teammate Patricia Meunier-Lebouc combined to capture the 2023 BJ’s Charity Championship.
“Hosting the event at my home club is so special with the members and staff offering such tremendous support,” says Blalock. “It was wonderful to get the win in front of this terrific home crowd, and I remember it fondly.”

Blalock and Meunier-Lebouc will pair up and square up once more against their peers next Friday in the two-person, 18-hole scramble that showcases the talents of several other marquee combos – notably World Golf Hall of Famer Hollis Stacy and 2024 U.S. Senior Women’s Open Champion Leta Lindley, World Golf Hall of Famer Laura Davies and three-time senior women’s major winner Trish Johnson and LPGA & World Golf Hall of Famer Juli Inkster and former Solheim Cup Captain Pat Hurst.
Only two World Golf Hall of Famers have won the event, and they’re both coming back for more once again this year with their trusty playing partners in tow. Pat Bradley won it with Jamie Fischer in 2022; Jan Stephenson took home the hardware with Laura Diaz in 2021.
Becky Morgan of South Wales, winner of the 2025 U.S. Senior Women’s Open in San Diego last weekend by a remarkable six strokes, is set to appear with playing partner Charlotta Sorenstam of Sweden; together the pair could be the first with overseas roots to win the event since Davies and Johnson – both from England – finished first in 2018.

Angela Stanford takes dead aim in the BJ’s Charity Championship as teammate Wendy Ward looks on.
Current Solheim Cup Captain Angela Stanford, a major winner with seven LPGA Tour titles, teamed up with four-time LPGA Tour champion Wendy Ward to win last year’s BJ’s Charity Championship by a single stroke. The pair will return to defend, hoping to match or better their 2024 score of 60 — 11 under par on the par 71 track.
The hottest start in the history of the BJ’s Charity Championship still belongs to Blalock and Meunier-Lebouc, however, when they carded seven consecutive birdies to open their round in 2023. Home course advantage? Maybe.
Or maybe, for Blalock, it’s just about feeling at home.
Either way, the guest list looks incredible.
