"I just
loved that my playing partners were two of my all-time favorite
Hall of Fame Members, Pat Bradley and JoAnne Carner. This
opportunity doesn't happen very often and I have so much respect
for both of them. We all played the front 9 pretty good, but it
wasn't till the back 9 that I was able to make a charge with
four birdies. I was 4 under coming down the 18th hole and I knew
that Nancy Scranton playing just behind me was at least 5 under.
Safely on the
green, I knew I had to make this putt to have a chance for a
playoff. To watch that putt go in the hole under the pressure
was as much fun as any girl could want and off we went to play
the 18th hole again as Nancy made par on the last hole.
Unfortunately for Nancy, she made a bogey (on the playoff hole)
and I came home with my first Legends Tour trophy." |
